Telecommute Bookkeeper for Association

Boutique marketing company that specializes in association management, event production and sponsorship sales, seeking part-time bookkeeper with Quickbooks and Association experience. We are in need of a highly organized individual that understands client services and the need to be accurate. You will be stepping into a contractor 1099 role that requires leadership to help change processes and implement standard protocols. We are looking for a motivated, friendly person to add to our team of Owner, Event Managers, Assistant, Web Developer and two friendly small dogs.

Work from our office once a week, 2-5 hours (or can be split into 2 days, schedule is flexible between Mon-Fri 10am-5pm but must be available for all client due dates and monthly reporting), including mail pick-up from local post office. (Opportunity to telecommute and work more hours if skilled in Office Management, Web HTML updates, and /or as Event Assistant will be determined if a good fit).

Responsibilities include:
General Accounting/ Bookkeeping, and using Quickbooks Accounting software to maintain company and client financial records
Accurately maintain and distribute company financial records/reports monthly
Reconciliation of all accounting transactions, perform and maintain journal entries as well as general ledger
Preparation of financial reports
Perform detailed income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement financial modeling
Accounts Receivable/Payable - following up with customers with overdue balances
Process refunds, check requests, and issue receipts as requested
Invoice and maintain records for all customers as well as correct discrepancies
Monitor and pay accounts and maintain on time status with all vendors
Administer and pay all company taxes/licenses with federal, state, and local agencies on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annual basis.
Attending monthly board meetings, taking meeting minutes
Attend 2-3 events monthly to handle onsite credit card payments


Required Skills:
Must be highly organized, accurate, friendly and dependable.
Must be comfortable working within a small home office business with multiple clients and two dogs.
Must have experience working with associations and virtual offices.
Must be skilled in general computer applications specifically Quickbooks, excel, and ideally with google docs.
