Telecommute Senior Java/J2ee Developer

Must be in commuting distance to Columbia, MD/Ft. Meade but will be able to telecommute 90% of time from home.

Must be US CITIZEN and Security clearance is a plus. Must be willing to get fully cleared, TS with FS Polygraph. 

Duties:

Designs, develops, integrates, tests, and supports software architectures and interfaces for information flow and management applications on Solaris 10 with Trusted Extensions. Develops using Java/Java IDE (primarily), C, and C++ for application integration on Solaris, Linux, and potentially Windows.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

BA or BS preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum 6 years experience software development including 3 years of Java J2SE/J2EE development experience. Must have working experience with Java J2SE/J2EE, C, C++, XML, Tomcat, Apache, and Java IDE. Must have working experience with Linux and Solaris: shell scripting and basic system administration. Must have experience developing solutions integrated with system interfaces. Knowledge of XEN a plus with eventual work on SELinux. Must be self- starting with strong written and oral communication skills. Experience working at small companies is desirable but not essential. Must be able to effectively convey information and work well in an environment with other team members.
