Work at Home Web Developer

Level2Designs, Inc. is a small web development company based in sunny Orange County, CA. We specialize in both client work and web application development, and are looking for an experienced web developer to join our team.

Requirements for this position are as follows:

• Know how to do standards-based XHTML/CSS development with your hands tied behind your back
• Very knowledgeable with Javascript/AJAX
• Proficient in PHP/MySQL development
• Experience with a PHP framework (CakePHP, CodeIgniter, etc.)
• CMS experience; specifically Drupal, Expression Engine and/or WordPress (preferably "and")

Things that would be awesome to see on your resume (any of these qualities will set you apart from the rest of the pack):

• Design experience
• Knowledge of SEO tactics
• Ruby on Rails experience
• Experience developing web apps of your own or with another company
• A portfolio?
• Any other geeky computer science stuff that would impress us

Though the items listed above are what we're looking for in regards to development experience, we feel that the personality of the person we hire is just as important as what amazing, mind-blowing algorithms they can rattle off to us over the phone.

The ideal candidate is a driven, self-motivated individual who's bread and butter is making web sites and making them well. This person needs to work efficiently in a team and should be able to take criticisms as well as make them (constructively of course). He or she needs to be able to adapt quickly, as new projects are constantly being added to our plate. Above all - we want PASSION.

If the above descriptions sound like you, and working from home with flexible hours sounds like your cup of tea - please let us know by sending your resume and cover letter to the address you are provided :-)

American based programmers only! No agencies or overseas workers will be accepted.

  • Compensation: $15 - $20 / hour
