Health Researcher Wanted
Seeking an individual with experience in health research to assist in publication of various articles about health issues.
Skills should include:
• Expertise in health issues from a social science perspective or related area
• A graduate degree (or currently completing one) in a health-related field such as, Epidemiology, Sociology, Nursing, Psychology or Social Work
• Available to work part-time from June to November 2009 (approximately 140 hours of work)
• Able to conduct searches of the medical and public health literature, ideally in English and one other language
• Easy access to a university library and the Internet
• Knowledge of various journals in the health field as well as requirements for publishing in them such as citation styles
• Creative skills in graphic design (making diagrams, tables, charts etc)
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to meet tight timelines
• Experienced in writing
• Well organized
• Outstanding Personal Communication Skills
