Small, established design firm in Santa Cruz is seeking a part-time contractor for web production. We are very team oriented, and have long, established relaionships with our clients.
Requirements:
SOLID, expert knowledge of HTML. XHTML & CSS is an absolute must. Pure CSS layout experience an absolute must. 2-4 years of experience in website design/production Expert knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver. Expert knowledge of Mac OS X and comfortability with Windows. Comfortability with command-line a plus. Your work speed is important as well. This is a fast-paced environment, and you'll need to be able to keep up. PHP, XML, MySQL, Perl and JavaScript programming knowledge also a plus. Photoshop and Illustrator knowledge a plus. You must be self-motivated and intuitive to solve complex production issues to keep production moving quickly and smoothly. Other things to consider: You must live in Santa Cruz and come in to the office. Could be a partial work from home opportunity after the 3-month evaluation period is up. No Drugs, No Hangovers. You must LOVE large dogs. We have a large office dog. Sorry, you cannot bring in your dog. The office is too small for more than one. ABSOLUTELY NO OFFSHORE, NON-LOCAL APPLICANTS, PLEASE. Pay: Roughly 20 hours per week at $20/hr for the first 3 months as an introductory/evaluation period. Then, if it works out, pay goes up to $25-30/hr. depending on experience.
