Freelance Journalist Needed-3 Month Contract

Calling all writers, news junkies and aspiring broadcast journalists!

We are an internet start-up company currently launching a new citizen journalist community, equipped with live streaming video capabilities. We are currently looking for a prolific team of savvy citizen journalists to upload stories and broadcast their very own DIY newscasts for our official launch.

Work from home and help us launch this exciting experiment in citizen journalism by submitting relevant and intriguing news stories and broadcasting your own newscasts live each week. You will be expected to post a maximum of 5 stories (350 word min.) per week and each written article will have a recorded live news broadcast from 5 to 15 minutes to accompany it. You will be paid per article. The site is in early development and we would love to receive your input and work with us as beta testers as you test the site.

We are currently offering 3 month contracts (renewable) ASAP and there will be compensation based on experience. Down the line, we will also be offering mobile phones capable of live video streaming for your mobile newscasts depending on the quality and growing popularity of your news stream.

For any aspiring broadcast journalists, reporters, students, freelance writers and the like, this is the perfect opportunity to hone your craft and be a part of a growing community online. Current students or recent graduates in Journalism, Communication or Film are welcomed! Knowledge of social media and networking sites a plus!
