Telecommute RE Writer

This is a one-time writing/editing project. We are looking to recruit a freelance writer to write a few descriptive summaries of the Hartford, CT area suburbs/communities. We are looking for a writer with attention to detail and can write compelling articles filled with real estate and lifestyle facts--but with some flair. These profiles will be published for a consumer audience interested in relocating or buying/selling a home in the greater Hartford area. A general overview of the project:

1. Your original work for *this* project
2. Specific communities/neighborhoods (180 total) in the Hartford, CT served by ZipRealty
3. Each profile should be from 400-700 words
4. All completed profiles will be due the September 1, 2009.

This is for an existing real estate themed website. We are in the process of updating content for the sites, and want to add additional Hartford communities.

Requirement: Writer must be based in the Hartford, CT area. Real estate is personal and local, so it is critical that the reader feel as though the writer has familiarity with the area. This familiarity should be reflected in the writing product.

Are you still interested? Please submit your resume along with a specific writing sample (just a paragraph will suffice) for the real-estate themed site, based on one of the areas in or around Hartford. We assure you, this sample will NOT be used on the site. Please add commentary that one would NOT find in a quick web search about the area. We understand that no one could possibly know EVERY neighborhood in the area, but a native (or long time resident) would know the flavor well.
