Remote Lead Designer

You will be our full-time lead designer for Web/UI work, and will take ownership over designing new elements of our website as well as improving the pages that exist. You’ll be working with our Lead Developer and will take responsibility for the usability and presentation throughout the site. On occasional complex projects, you will have assistance from our part-time Senior UI architect. Your portfolio should demonstrate your ability to work independently, as we do not currently have design or UI experience in-house.

You should be an expert at:

•XHTML

•CSS

•Photoshop

Experience with the following would be a plus, but is not required:

•Vector Graphics (Adobe Illustrator)

•Some JavaScript/AJAX experience

Work will be performed on location at our office in the Buena Vista Park neighborhood of San Francisco. We are not considering remote work at this time. We work startup hours (more than 40 hours/week), but are laid back and have a really good time at work. We are also very flexible in accommodating personal schedules.

Compensation will be composed of cash and equity and will depend on work experience. Full benefits are included and we provide all meals at the office (cooking provided by a trained chef!). Exact start date is flexible, but we are looking to fill the position immediately.
