THE STORY
We design efficient and elegant User Interfaces for complex online applications. Our team is looking for an experienced Flex UI developer to bring our designs to life.
Most of our work pertains to Software as a Service NOT website design, you must therefore be very comfortable with advanced layouts and complex client side functionality.
THE JOB
Good news is you this position will allow you to work on or off with flexible hours.
Bad news is we expect you to be available once in a while (read 2 -4 hours a week) during business hours for meetings. For a good fit, the position has the potential to move from contract to permanent and/or full time employment.
In terms of skills, here is a quick laundry list of what we are looking for:
Required
- Long history of proven experience developing rich internet apps in Flex
- Experience developing production AJAX applications using toolkits such as EXTJS or YUI
- Self-directed with an ability to work independently from specifications
- High efficiency: Ability to turn around code in a rapid iteration environment
- Ability to incorporate mock data into UI
- Ability to rapidly customize look and feel of applications to match design specs
- Very Strong attention to Detail
- Excellent English communication skills – verbal and written
ABOUT YOU
You have been working with designers in the past and are very comfortable working from .psd or .png files. You understand your code will be handed off to back end folks you will have to support throughout the implementation process.
Your resume might not be the greatest Word document but you can point us to live samples of the applications you have been working. You might have done a couple of websites to help out friends but this is a very marginal activity for you.
