Offsite Website Developer-1099
Independent Web UI Designer/Creative Director based in Newton, MA is looking for one or two Freelance Developer(s) to code local small business websites. Company develops extremely customized “smart websites” mostly based on SEO/Marketing plan. Position is initially a 1099 Open Contract with partial telecommuting possible.
Responsibilities:
- Accountability for all developments from client approved PDF/AI/PSD design files and spec documents
- Must be available for workload ranging from 15-40+ hours per week
- W3 Validated, Cross Browser Compliant, Search Optimized Code
- HTML/CSS/PHP/JavaScript/AJAX/Flash – Action Script/ZEND
- Some Database MYSQ experience
- Social media API integrations (Twitter, Google, Facebook, etc)
- HTML Email Coding Experience
- Forms, RSS, CMS
- One face-to-face onsite meeting per week
- Some client interaction
- Larger Web Application projects are a possibility
- Must possess genuine passion for creating instinctive user friendly web interactions
- Should be aware of basic principles and elements of design
- Ability to maintain working efficiently with costs and budgets considered
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
- Customer service oriented
