Home Based Media Relations Specialist

Company is seeking freelance media relations specialists to join our virtual team. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in media relations and communications.


Must have:
At least 2 years of media relations and public relations experience
Demonstrated ability to successfully pitch stories on deadline
Excellent writing and communication skills
Time management skills
Ability to communicate progress with supervisor and clients as needed
Knowledge of new media and social networking outlets preferred
Experience building media lists using Cisionpoint
Interest in telephone pitching and/or e-mail pitching
Able to do the task of the day on deadline
Experience writing "progress reports" for clients
Interest in learning new skills and new subjects

We are not seeking writers, editors or copywriters.

Miami, FL and Lincoln, NE areas a plus, but not necessary.

Location: Home Based

Compensation: The rate is $15 per hour to start with increases based on performance
