Telecommute Quality Assurance Analyst
Company has an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst to be accountable for the quality of software applications, specifically a Learning Management System (LMS), by implementing testing procedures. Must be willing to work from home or during off-hours as necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Works with QA Manager and Web developers to establish an appropriate testing plan for each project, understanding the balance between zero defects and management's deadlines.
• Manages the building of each project to our test servers, which involves route methods of building Web and SQL files.
• Assists with the testing operations of our application.
• Enhances team accomplishments and competence by productively working with other members of the team.
• Contributes to and follows our testing policies, procedures, and standards.
• Accomplishes department and organization missions by completing related tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• At least one year of experience testing Web applications.
• An extremely detail-oriented work ethic.
• Excellent writing skills with experience translating technical information into user-friendly terminology.
• High-speed Internet access at home and a personal computer.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience with:
• Testing ASP.NET applications.
• Writing basic HTML.
• Using Query Analyzer to run database queries.
• Creating test cases and maintaining QA documentation.
• Other development-oriented tools such as Visual Studio for building Web files and SourceGear's Vault for managing versions of files.
