Alzheimer's Content Writer Needed
Company is seeking a professional Writer to act as a Guide and contribute content concerning Alzheimer’s. Target audience for content are individuals who have or are at risk for Alzheimer’s disease AND their caretakers. Site should answer questions about the disease, assist with treatment options and healthcare providers, and take action to help cope with the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. All work will be reviewed for quality prior to publishing.
Qualifications:- A nurse or doctor who works extensively with Alzheimer’s patients
- A health educator with experience educating patients, friends and family on life with Alzheimer’s
- A health writer or medical journalist with extensive experience writing about Alzheimer’s.
- Write at least 12 pieces of content per month; building on content that already exists. Will focus on writing about issues in the field (new studies, products, safety concerns, etc). Will also focus on filling gaps in coverage and updating existing topic coverage if needed.
- Possess excellent written and communication skills
- Possess friendly, authoritative voice
- Ability to translate his/her expertise in complex subject areas into simple language (using layman’s terms, avoiding jargon) that reads like “the friendly authority”
- Consistently be able to produce concise and accurate copy, revising when necessary
- Ability to be open and flexible to editing content based on suggestions from a health editor and physician reviewer
- Possess a basic understanding of Internet use and website navigation
- Establish confidence in the scientific credibility, accuracy, and comprehensiveness of content
- Keep current with the latest news, issues, and events related to Alzheimer’s
- Willingness to maintain the site’s navigation, forums, newsletter, landing page; maintain clear site navigation
