Linux Application Support-Telecommute after Training

Company has an opening for a Part Time Linux Application Support Associate. This position is for an entry to mid level IT professional who is interested in many diverse challenges: from user training of web-CRM applications to management of the hosted infrastructure of these applications.

Responsibilities:

• Work with databases : MySQL – Create queries, create databases, move data, automate processes for databases.
• Answering basic customer questions about using contact management programs such as vTiger
• Understanding and handling integration needs between the web-CRM and other applications
• Maintaining the Boru Linux system infrastructure.
• Maintaining the SVN infrastructure.
• Do some programming in php, html, and shell script..
• Managing Client and Development Projects.

Requirements:
• Working knowledge of Linux [Debian] Administration.
• Working knowledge of database administration for mysql.
• Some programming experience – ideally with html, php and linux scripting.
• Working knowledge of Contact Management Programs like ACT! and GoldMine is a big plus.
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills.

Job location is on the Near West side of Chicago (West Loopgate) and is EL accessible. There is an opportunity to work from home after the first few months.

Location: Telecommute after training

Compensation: $15.00-20.00/hour based on experience
Hours are flexible, but will be 10-20 hours per week depending on client demand and your availability.
