Remote Support & LINUX Administration
Company has an opening for a Linux System/Networking Specialist to assist with real-time estimates of the impact of active storms on population, infrastructure and economic sectors in a global capacity. Company servers are located in 3 separate areas, connected via a virtual private network (VPN). Clients download our products 24/7.
Responsibilities:- Assist up-front with installation of new HP Proliant servers and network hardware and software
- Provide technical support for around 4 hours per week
- Assist with occasional project-specific work
- Requirements:
- Linux Suse 11 Administration
- Virtual appliances using Vyatta
- System security
Location: Work can be performed remotely, with occasion office visits in Silver Spring, MD
