PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a paper mill. Consultants assist students using the same ethical guidelines as faculty advisors. You may not do the student's work (e.g., data collection, ghostwriting).

Consultants in high-volume categories (e.g., psychology, education) must be full-time freelancers (i.e., retired from full-time teaching / no "day job"). Our students should have your full attention. Priority given to candidates who intend to commit long-term.

Requirements:

  • you have chaired/served on thesis and/or dissertation committees and advised masters and/or doctoral students during the writing process ...
  • you are retired or teaching no more than 1 class per semester (this pertains to high-volume categories such as psychology, education, nursing and statistics)
  • English is your first language
  • you have exceptional (English) writing/editing proficiency
  • you are able to use Microsoft Word's tracking and comment features
  • you are consistently available
  • you are U.S.-based
  • you can check e-mail regularly throughout the day (M-F), including once per day on weekends
  • you have at least 20 hours per week to spare (if you're in a high-volume category)

Send your CV as Word or RTF attachment.
CV must list graduate-level advising experience.

Applicants must pass our scholarly writing/English fluency tests (less than 1 hour of time investment) and agree to our policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines. If you pass the tests, you may e-mail or speak to advisors currently in the network before deciding to join.

You are not eligible to join this network if you perform "ghostwriting" for students, either through another site or freelance.

Please do not apply if you do not meet *all* of the requirements listed above.
