Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Rational Project

Company seeking SME for Rational Project.  This is a partial remote position, with preference given to Atlanta, GA candidates, and about 20% travel required.

SKILLS/EXPERTISE REQUIRED

• ReqPro
• Preferred Certified Trainer in Rational
  
• Experience in the entire ACS supported rational toolset (RequisitePro, ClearCase, Software Modeler, Software architect, Application developer, CQTM, Manual tester, Functional Tester, performance tester and robot)
• Project console, Soda and crystal reports experience
• Rational certification
• Experience with Team concert and Rational Quality manager
• Experience with both the V7.0 and V7.1, as well as upgrade from V7.0 to V7.1
• Requirements and process analysis experience
• Strong knowledge of all areas of the software development lifecycle
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Training experience
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Some networking knowledge
• Ability to develop relationships with internal clients to understand and address the project teams needs
• Testing experience 
  

 ABOUT THE POSITION

• Provide project kick-offs for new projects implementing the rational toolset
• Provide demonstrations both on-site and using a conference bridge and WebEx of the rational toolset. Demonstrations will include integration of the supported rational tools
• Provide tool training and mentoring for the supported tools. Training is conducted on-site at various US locations. Expected 20% travel
• Provide Proof of Concept as necessary to the project teams on specific tool implementation requirements
• Assist project teams in defining tool requirements
• Analyze project requirements to make a recommendation to the project team on the appropriate rational tools for their implementation
• Verify implementation will meet all contractual requirements of ACS to our clients
• Verify tool implementation meets minimum governance mandated guidelines
• Analyze current tools and make a recommendation on importing and conversation of current toolset to the rational toolset
• All project artifacts related to tool implementation requirements are to be stored in ClearCase
• Project management of the tool implementation from inception through transition
• Maintain good communication with the project teams on status of the implementation through the inception phase
• Create, update, and execute test cases, using CQTM, RMT, RFT and RPT for verification of tool functionality prior to tool upgrades.

• Duration: 6 month contract, likely extension, possible contract to hire
• Travel: Average of 20%, though some projects will require more
