Freelance Web Designer/ UX Expert

Web strategy firm  seeking a Freelance Web Designer who is a UX Expert.   This is a 100% work from home  position.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

• Design and develop websites, web technology, media, and marketing, to implement these strategies, with a focus on creating value and benefit for clients

SKILLS/EXPERTISE REQUIRED

• Expert-level Photoshop for Web Design, Image/ Graphic creation for Web
• Expert-level Flash design, ActionScript skills strongly preferred 
• Familiarity with CSS strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Illustrator, vector-based graphic design and illustration strongly preferred
• Familiarity with user experience (UX) optimization and testing strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Drupal strongly preferred
  

 ABOUT THE POSITION

• Design webpages, graphics, edit images, and improve interfaces/layouts for client websites
• Work with our developers to prepare your designs for HTML/CSS implementation
• Work with our marketers to create graphical content and Flash animations for ads
• Work with our team to optimize user experience (UX), site content, increase user satisfaction, boost usability and client ROI
  
• Provide supplemental support to our team on several current projects. This person would create new designs, extend existing websites along the lines of their current design themes, and create images/graphics for items like banner ads.
• As for your design abilities, we are looking for someone who is well-versed in Web 2.0 techniques and aesthetics. Be familiar with Photoshop (of course), as well as the process of slicing image files for implementation into pages by our developers. Experience with Flash, Illustrator, and CSS are also preferred. Your portfolio should speak for itself, in showcasing your talents as state-of-the-art, creative, and highly-engaging.

• Our team's resources are in high-demand, and we are looking for someone who is able to start right away to supplement our team. Excellence in this position brings with it the opportunity to join our company as a full-time permanent member. Indeed, our ideal scenario is finding someone who can transition into the role of a full-time designer over the course of the next six months.
• Even if you are not looking for full-time employment, this is a great position to work with a fantastic team (remote work/ telecommuting is fine) on a part-time basis. We are fine hiring an independent contractor/ freelancer for this position, on a contract or hourly basis.
