Senior Rails Developer - Programmer

Company seeking an experienced Senior Rails Developer/Programmer.   This is a 100% telecommute 1099 contractor position.

SKILLS/EXPERTISE REQUIRED

• Know Rails in and out
• Critical areas of work include performance tuning, security, feature implementation, and overall code structure decisions
• Bring rock-solid production experience to development and deployment decisions in expansion of application prototyp

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Be a central part on a small team working to turn a prototype into a full application.
• Develop an application for collecting political donations, processing the credit card transactions and transferring funds on a huge scale.
  
• A developer can expect to gain knowledge in credit card processing internals, bank transfers, and be working with a handful of people that have had prominent roles in the ever-interesting world internet technology and fundraising for years.
• Development is on an aggressive schedule, to be tested and launched by Jan 1, 2010. We’re hoping to find someone available immediately who is open to being part of the team long term.
