Bilingual Information Specialist
Information management company is seeking a Part Time Bilingual Information Specialist to support our NIH project. Candidate would responsd to requests from the public for information about rare and/or genetic dieases for a federally funded project. Candidate would also be resonsible for researching, developing and communicating infomration for consumers, health professtionals and the public. This is a telecommuting position.
Candidate must have the following skills:
-Must have an in-depth knowledge of rare disease and genetic conditions
-Must have the ability to review journals and text references to remain current in clinical genetics, rare disease and research.
-Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
-Must be proficient with verbal and written Spanish and English
-Must have the ability to explain very technical and medical concepts
-Must have experience exceptional customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills
-Must have experience identifying health resources
-Must have Internet research skills
-Must have an M.S. in genetic counseling, publich health, nursing or relevent experience
Candidate muist have the following education:
-Master's degree with a strong focus in genetics
-Experience with call centers preferred
