Sr. Network Monitoring Engineer

Company is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to develop and execute a new system to monitor 5 organizational networks; each residing on different subnets. Candidate must possess in-depth experience completely utilizing NMS tools in a production setting; and Senior level network engineering experience building and maintaining complex production network environments. Position offers 20-40 hours per week.

Must possess experience with the following:

• Premium, Solarwinds Enterprise Suite, Castle Rock, Kiwi, etc
• SONET, CISCO Ethernet switches and routers
• Configuring SNMP/MIB captures and analysis
• Several years working in network environments as a senior level engineer
• Identifying and resolving network issues
• Establishing and managing working relationships
• Must possess knowledge of CISCO appliances, routers, switches; Alcatel-Lucent SONET nodes; GarrettCom and Riverstone switches; change management principles; knowledge of NMS tools
• Preference is given to candidates who possess experience in SCADA environment; experience configuring NMS to centrally monitor several networks; installation and configuration of WhatsUP Gold, Castle Rock, Solarwinds, Kiwi, Log-a-Lot, and Splunk; and CCNA certification
