Seeking P/T Publicist's Assistant

Independent Publicist seeking part-time media relations and publicity assistant. This position is a work from home position, but some work may require travel in Portland, OR.

Assistants responsibilities would include:
-Telephone/follow up calls to the media
-Creating media releases and calendar listing writing
-Organization of multiple email address
-Follow up on outstanding items
-Research online sources including blogs and webzines
-Grant research
-Online listing of events in various cities (must have experience researching all possible online event calendars, etc)

Candidate must have the following abilities:
-Must have free long distance
-Must be available weekday, morning hours
-Must be efficient
-Must be a self-starter who can take charge with little guidance

Location: Work from home/Portland, OR
Compensation: $8.50
