Pharmacy Technician

Prominent pharmacy service provider is seeking a certified pharmacist technician to work from home on part-time contractual basis. This position is not dependant on location as the candidate will be working from their home. Most of the activities to be performed will be done over the phone and online.

Primary Responsibilities include:
-Assisting the pharmacist workflow by calling patients to remind them about the refill for their medications
-Calling doctor's offices to follow-up on fax sent for refills and other authorizations that have been sent by the pharmacists
-Perform other clerical and data entry duties as assigned.

Ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:
-Must have excellent communication skills
-Must be self motivated and a self starter
-Must be accurate
-Must be courteous
-Must be organized, detail-oriented, dependable and possess a great deal of integrity
-Must have high school education or equivalent
-Must have high speed internet access and a home computer
-Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Diploma from a college of pharmacy may substitute for CPhT.

Bonus skills:
-Knowledge of retail or long term pharmacy practice
