Accountant/Bookkeeper Needed

Company is looking for a part-time accountant/bookkeeper in the New Canaan, CT area who is available to work on location and work from home.

Candidate's responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate accounting records
- Ensure that accounts payable/receivables and payroll are processed in a timely manner
- Ensure that GL is current and correct, required banking is completed
- Assist with preparation and variance analysis on budgets, keeping management appraised of the cash position requirements
- Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries for adjustment, accruals and depreciation/backup analysis
- Management and continual improvement of the accounting and internal controls processes and procedures
- Generate weekly and monthly reports

Candidate must possess the following skills:
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience
- Proven track record in working with QuickBooks for small business
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Team player attitude
- Exceptional customer service and willingness to go the extra mile
- Employer references which can be verified & contacted same day

Location: Work from home/New Canaan, CT
Compensation: $30/hr
