Technical Project Managers
Company is looking to fill several technical project manager positions. These will be primarily work from home positions.
Primary responsibilities:
- Directs and monitors all activities for medium to large, medium to high risk, major technology-based projects from initiation to delivery. Projects typically cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines.
- Works with business partners to develop technology concepts, requirements, design alternatives, project schedules, and costs for new systems initiatives.
- Plans and directs program schedules, monitoring project status in comparison to cost/time projections.
- Coordinates internal service partners to achieve milestone goals necessary to implement technology projects in enterprise class datacenters.
- Provides consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing analyses, significant issue management, and communication with business lines and technology management levels.
- May act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiency.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
- Must have knowledge of distributed system hardware inclusive of, but not limited to, Dell, HP, Sun, Fujitsu, and IBM.
- Must have an understanding and troubleshooting capabilities of basic network and storage (SAN) connectivity and functionality.
- Troubleshooting skills to identify issues, develop solution plans and execute a solution
- Must have proven - outstanding customer service and professional oral and written communication skills.
Bonus skills:
- Prior experience with Wanda, Pac2000 and PTP is a plus.
- Experience working in a matrix resource environment and a natural ability to motivate project teams in the interest of achieving common goals is a plus.
Required experience level:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years technical project management experience.
Location: Work from home/Minneapolis, MN
Compensation: $35-40/hr
