Senior Messaging Consultant
Company seeks a highly skilled Senior Messaging Consultant to master the product suite and successfully and efficiently deliver implementation services for all products. This is a telecommute position.
Primary responsibilities:
- Perform a lead role on client-site consulting engagements by implementing and conducting co-existence and migration projects throughout the project lifecycle
- Execute project assignments and work output with precision and quality
- Comply with documented project management methodology for all Consulting Services projects and coordination of all activities related to Consulting Services projects to ensure quality deliverables on a timely basis and within budget
- Provide knowledge transfer to client project team on best practices and functionality of migration and coexistence applications
- Clearly, actively and articulately communicate status of project to Project Manager and clients as appropriate
- Anticipate, identify and resolve issues/concerns both internally and externally
- Develop and present solutions to appropriate parties
- Participate in sales activities to further company's success in the marketplace, including pre-sales activities, product demos and proposal development
- Meet time and budget requirements for all assignments, with minimal reminders. Prioritize work effectively and actively work to find more efficient ways to accomplish assignments and tasks
- Work effectively and professionally with client and company staff, maintaining positive working relationships and a positive teamwork environment
- Take initiative within job scope and anticipate the needs of customers and colleagues
- Develop and execute a challenging and interesting self-education and professional development plan
- Assume various roles on projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or technical degree in a related field or some equivalent combination of education and experience
- Expert level knowledge of Domino messaging and administration
- Expert level knowledge of SMTP
- Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007 and Active Directory
- Business value understanding of groupware, Internet/Intranet, and enterprise e-mail
- At least 2 years experience of technology consulting in a business environment
- Hands on technical expertise to guide customers through successful implementation of projects
- Exceptional communication, writing and presentation skills
- Ability to interface with customers on cross-functional work teams both in person and in writing
- Excellent organization and analysis skills
- Ability to travel up to 75 to 100% required
- Prior implementation of Microsoft Transporter Suite or Microsoft Lotus preferred
- Experience successfully managing mid to large-scale development projects a plus
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, AS/400 and/or UNIX/AIX administration
- Working knowledge of Powershell programming preferred
- Lotus Notes/Domino and MCSE certifications a huge plus
- Administration experience with Domino and Microsoft Exchange email applications preferred
- Hands-on experience in a wide range of business environments and industries preferred
