Social Worker for Utilization Review
Health Strategy Company is seeking a Utilization Review Clinician. This is a home based position offering 22 hours per week including Fridays 5pm – 12am and Saturday 9am – 12am. May be required to work on-call at times.
Responsibilities:
- Approve and review utilization of mental health and substance abuse services provided in inpatient, outpatient, and intermediate care settings
- Help plan discharge and ambulatory follow up efforts
- Manage coverage on phone for Clinical Referral line on ACD system
- Assist members with mental health and substance abuse concerns
- Take part in specific utilization projects
Requirements:
- Must have current, valid, unrestricted license for practice with proof upon being hired
- Must be re-verified every 3 years
- Must be knowledgeable in current principles, procedures, and behavioral health
- Must possess at least 2 years of behavioral health experience; preferably in managed care
- Master’s Degree or higher in health discipline
- RN with professional license
