Software Developer

Company is seeking an experienced Software Developer.  This is a telecommute position, but candidates need to be located in the Jacksonville, FL area.  Candidates must be able to report to client site or for team meetings periodically throughout the month, sometimes weekly.
Job Description/Duties:

- Design, develop, code, test and debug new software or add complex enhancements to existing software in a Visual Basic programming environment.
- Design, develop, code, test and debug new software or add complex enhancements to the existing PL/SQL-based interface in an Oracle enviornment.
- Design, develop, code, test and debug new software or add complex enhancements to existing software in an ASP.NET programming environment.
- Design, develop, code, test and debug new software or add complex enhancements to existing software in a C#.NET programming environment.
- Resolve software defects identified by the customer or CACI.
- Respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
- Work with other technical staff to understand and develop software fixes and enhancements.
- Improve existing software code by re-writing or re-structuring code to operate more efficiently and to offer greater flexibility during the implementation process.
- Document software technical specifications, application design, and database design.
- Participate in the development of software user manuals.

Required Qualifications:

- Must be able to work under minimal supervision
- US Citizen MUST be clearable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
- Minimum three years of Visual Basic, VB.NET or C#.NET programming experience.
- Experience working with SQL Server database.
- Proficient in SQL database programming.
- Experience in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Willing to work within a virtual team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

- Two or more years Visual Basic 6 programming experience.
- Experience developing within the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET framework.
- Experience developing web-based applications.
- Experience with Oracle databases.
