Website Manager
Non-profit organization is seeking a Website Manager to ensure the website is functioning as intended as well as make enhancements and edits/additions prescribed by the team. This is a work from home position.
Job responsibilities:
- Enhance and maintain web site architectural structure
- Ensure a consistent look and feel across the In Motion web pages by promoting uniform fonts, formatting, icons, images, and layout, and creating appropriate templates to assist content authors
- Find, diagnose, and fix web site problems, including broken links (both internal and external), typographical errors, and formatting inconsistencies
- Identify, implement, and manage web site presence and promotion opportunities
- Recommend and implement enhancements and modifications to the website
- Manage the ongoing maintenance of the organization's domain name with the appropriate registrars
- Maintain backup of the website
- Receive and respond to all e-mail messages for the Web Manager in a timely and courteous fashion
- Advise staff in posting content and the use of new web tools
- Assist with the posting of content as requested by program coordinators
- Conduct research into emerging best practices in the use of technology for nonprofits and share with staff as appropriate
Candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience in web design and maintenance
- Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Familiarity with WordPress
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and interface with a team
- Disciplined and motivated individual
