Graphic Designer
Website building company is seeking a Graphic Website & Print Designer to design websites that match our current tone, look and feel. This is a work from home position.
Job responsibilities:
- Creates and designs website based on customer requirements.
- Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space and aesthetic design concepts.
- Responsive to leadership of the corporation.
- Exhibits behavior consistent with the vision and values communicated by the corporation.
- Supports corporate goals and objectives, contributing to accomplishment of overall mission.
Ideal candidate must have the following experience and education:
- Graphic design and animation experience
- Multimedia development
- Informative material (wall murals, flyers).
- Must have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, web 2.0 design, AJAX, and related technologies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline plus 1-2 years directly related experience in a medium to large web development team.
- Experience in designing web pages that contain/utilize server side technologies, HTML tables, frames, forms, graphics (buttons, images, animations, etc.), CSS, Layers, DIV tags, DHTML including mouse overs, onLoad scripts.
Candidate must possess the following skills:
- Ability to write/utilize Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended, Adobe Illustrator CS4, Adobe Fireworks CS4, Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, Adobe Video Collection, ASP.NET, Flash, JavaScript code
- Be able to make pages cross browser compatible (Netscape, IE, etc) multiple browser versions (IE 6.X etc).
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of database driven forms, simple form handlers, etc.
- Familiarity with the software development cycle
- Strong interface design skills
- Ability to communicate with developers
- Knowledge of AJAX and web 2.0 design
- Basic understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, IP, DNS, etc
- Version-control systems
- Ability to interface with all levels of management to understand user specifications and requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
