Network Administrator / Tier 2 Help Desk
Small IT consulting firm is looking for an experienced Microsoft network engineer, with a strong background in server administration and desktop support. Position initially is part-time as a Tier 2 phone support technician a goal of growing into a full-time field consultant. This is a work from home position, but applicant must live in the Twins Cities metro area.
Qualified applicant will have the following skills:
- Solid understanding of Windows Server, Exchange Server, ActiveSync, Small Business Server, Terminal Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP, Backup Exec, Disk-Imaging, Disaster Recovery, RAID, Virtualization, Malware Protection and Removal, and also Firewalls
- Minimum 5 years experience as either the lead network administrator of a 100-250 node network, or as a small business IT consultant (Fortune 1000 experience is not applicable)
- Must be able to easily assemble and repair PCs and Servers, and be able to load and configure operating systems and application software for end users
- Must be able to follow through on projects and paperwork, and work independently without supervision
- Advanced Web Site Design would be a plus.
