Technical Research Intern

Company is seeking a part-time technical research intern to assist the company with technical research projects, such as drafting and editing of technical proposals, reports and design. This is a telecommute position.

Current projects include:
- UAV systems
- Software algorithms
- Software defined radios
- Advanced solar cell technologies
- Multiple sensor exploitation and tracking and modeling and simulation methodologies

Ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in accredited university for a BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent technical degree.
- Can provide certified transcripts sent from university with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Must have immediate access to high-speed internet access, work station/laptop and telephone.
- Can work about 20 hours per week on a telecommuting basis.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US; US Citizen preferred. No F-1 Visas.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong research and writing skills.
- Interest and enthusiasm in new advanced technologies.
- Thorough working knowledge of general office applications: Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interest or commitment regarding the company’s mission.
- Ability to work under aggressive deadlines, work autonomously and independently and be self-managed in a small team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities or multi-task projects and have a flexible, positive attitude with the ability to learn while doing.
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to work under tight development schedules.
- Great team player with ability to interact at all levels.
- Strong work ethic.
- Self-motivated and resourceful; takes initiative.
- High level of office professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
