Technical Support Representative
Educational records management company is seeking a Technical Support Representative. This person will provide assistance and support to Docufides K12 and Higher Education customers. This is a work from home position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement the installation of Docufide software and services on high school/college registrar’s computers by providing information about the installation and answers to customer questions via email and over the telephone.
- Track and report on software installations and incoming test transcripts
- Work with Customer Support members to address post installation support issues/questions.
- Log support activity and resolution information in company activity tracking application
Position Qualifications/Requirements:
- Support background in a business with technical/Internet-related products or services; experience in corporate IT support is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and stay current on changing product features and services
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred knowledge: Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista OS environment, Citrix, AS400/iSeries, Novell experience a plus. MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook), Local Area Network, firewall/proxy servers and internet technologies
- Experience with installation of software at remote locations and troubleshooting installation issues and use of remote access tools.
- Advanced organizational skills, superb time management.

Education and Experience Desired:
- 2 yrs+ in a customer service/technical support role
- Minimum of a 2-yr associate degree in a business or technical subject, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a remote/virtual work environment preferred but not required
Candidate should have a working knowledge and an above average proficiency/understanding of:
- Windows (2000/2003/XP/Vista) operating systems. Mac OS beneficial.
- Printers and print drivers
- Remote desktop support tools and/or ability to guide users through troubleshooting steps
- Internet, HTML, FTP
- Software installation in a Windows environment
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Location: Work from home
Compensaton: 40-45K/yr
