Debt Collector
Collection company is seeking experienced third party debt collectors. This is a work from home position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Employ effective skip tracing techniques to locate and notify debtors of delinquent accounts through outbound/inbound calls.
- Assertively inform debtors of their balance and solicit payment while adhering to F.D.C.P.A laws and Apex policies and procedures.
- Counsel, problem solve and negotiate with confidence.
- Read and comprehend credit reports, bankruptcy documentation, and debtor correspondence.
- Regularly exceed monthly collection goals.
- Communicate regularly with office management team to streamline compliance and production information.
- Consistently obtain and update demographic information and maintain concise notes for each call.

Qualifications to apply:
- Must have high school diploma
- MINIMUM OF FIVE YEARS THIRD PARTY BANKCARD COLLECTIONS EXPERIENCE
- Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PC skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and state laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, able to prioritize projects and multi-task
- Strong analytical problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Must be a team player
- Must be professional and have desire to succeed in this industry
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Provide a minimum of three respected references from the collections industry
- Previous successful collection experience
- Must have a quiet home office (home visit will be conducted)
- Mandatory three week paid training program at corporate office in Buffalo Grove, Illinois
Location: Work from home
Compensation: $14-$15/hr
