Benefits Coder with NASCO

Location: Virtual / Remote - this is a TELECOMMUTE ONLY position



- You would work from home but be available during core business hours (8:30-5:30 EASTERN time)



Duration: On-going contract



REQUIRED skills and experience:

- At least 1 year reading customer documentation, such as a *NAEG*, to clarify business coding requirements for benefit coding.

- At least 1 year building coding grids for the benefit coder.

- At least 1 year building unit test plans and schedules.

- At least 1 year entering code into the NPS Benefit File utilizing input from requests or Benefit Analyst submitted instructions.

- MUST have experience with healthcare and benefits coding. Must have knowledge of benefit terminology as found in the certificates and riders of health insurance documents.

- MUST have knowledge of health insurance claim forms and claim form fields so that claims can be manipulated by working the appropriate field in order to adapt claims to different scenarios.

- MUST be able to work from home - this is a TELECOMMUTE ONLY position
