Rails Developer
We recently launched a social web application that helps eco-conscious folks manage their environmental footprint. We are looking to add another Rails Developer to our team to continue iterating our way to success. The Rails Developer will work with a close-knit, geographically diverse, team that’s both passionate about climate change and social media/technology.
Requirements/Qualifications
• 3-5 years development experience
• Minimum 1-2 years experience developing with Ruby on Rails
• Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• High comfort level with Unix
• Proficient in SQL & MySQL
• Experience with source control (subversion and git)
• Must be able to provide and explain code samples of previous work
• Must have excellent problem solving skills and be motivated by technical challenges
• Must be able to function independently and still work well in a team environment
• Proven track record in a fast paced, agile environment
Responsibilities
• Conceive, design, build, test, and release features in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Write well-factored, extensible, elegant Ruby on Rails code with a test-driven approach.
• Produce creative solutions with an emphasis on usability and simplicity
• Work proficiently in all layers of the development stack
