Communications Coordinator - CA Based

National Organization for children with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender parents is seeking a Communications Coordinator to work 3 days per week. Position entails editing and publishing written materials, supporting media and advocacy efforts through public education campaigns, and managing website.

• Must be experienced with youth who have LGBTQ parents and/or families
• Must have considerable knowledge/experience with developing communication materials and campaign management
• Must be experienced with grassroots organizing and advocacy campaigns
• Must have exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills with a diverse population
• Must have outstanding verbal, writing, researching, listening, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Must be experienced with online communication, social networking, and websites
• Must be self-driven; have exceptional computer literacy; knowledge of Sales Force data entry, mail merge, and desktop publishing
• Must be willing to travel and work weekends/evenings on occasion
• Must be experienced with audiovisual and technical functions of nonprofit organizations
• Please note if fluent in Spanish and English

Location: Telecommute with Travel/CA

Compensation: $40k DOE + benefits and additional professional development
