Telecommute Experienced Graphic Design Artist

Arts publications seeks an experienced graphic designer for short-term freelance booklet project.  Candidate may telecommute.  This will be a part-time project, requiring about 10 to 15 hours a week to start.  Hours will increase as press time approaches.

Some requirements include:

• booklet/layout design experience 
• book template creation experience in Quark or InDesign
• interest and familiarity with fine art
• highly proficient at color matching and working with printer's color profiles
• ability to accurately convert artwork to specs
• thorough understanding of preflight/pre-press and print design
• highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Quark Xpress or Adobe InDesign
• comfortable with pdf workflow

Location: Telecommute

Compensation: $4K-$5K flat fee
