Tails Pet Media Group, Inc., a company that produces 14 pet magazines nationwide including Sonoran Tails, is seeking a Phoenix area beat reporter who will cover pet-related news and events throughout the metropolitan area for monthly publication. This is a home-based position.

Position requirements:

-Writer will be responsible for seeking out and reporting on roughly 4-6 short news items per month, for a total of approximately 1,000 words. Writer will be detailed, deadline oriented, pet loving, and will work from home, but be available to travel to nearby locations to cover a story if necessary.

-We are seeking someone who will become the eyes and ears of the local pet community. Our magazines are devoted to pets and their people with a strong emphasis on rescue and adoption.

-A Journalism or English degree is preferred.

-This is a freelance position.
