JOB DESCRIPTION
The growing Allscripts Data Solutions team is seeking an experienced Database Programmer and Analyst. The successful candidate is responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance, analysis and control of data and information as part of the clinical trials and research programs for client, vendor and internal use.
RESPONSABILITIES
• Setup standard database access tools to analyze data per client and internal needs
• Ad-hoc data mining based on client and internal needs/requirements
• Set up and maintenance of system capabilities for programs
• Design and refine warehouse architecture
• Create a toolset that can be used to extract and access data
• Analysis and management of program recruitment data
• Analysis and management of program participation data
• Analysis of program effectiveness
QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience in data management
• Background in business intelligence, including statistics and correlations
• Skilled in Microsoft tools and technologies such as SQL, SQL Server and MS Access
• 2+ years of Microsoft SQL database administration and development experience
• Proven skills in database design (logical to physical), implementation, normalization, referential integrity and optimization.
• 2+ years of SQL language experience
• Project management experience
• Microsoft certification (MCDBA)
• Ability to listen to customers and staff and convey information and ideas effectively
• Demonstrated ability to work well with non-technical staff
• Ability to remain focused on what needs to be accomplished and a strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines, work efficiently and independently and maintain high-quality standards
• Positive, upbeat attitude
