Executive Director

Lotus Outreach is a secular, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the living conditions of vulnerable children and their communities through education and healthcare. We partner with grassroots organizations in some of the most troubled and poverty-stricken parts of the world to protect children and help them build self-reliant and dignified lives. Lotus Outreach is seeking a talented and dedicated individual for the position of Executive Director.

Position Description:

This position reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for implementation of policies and annual goals and objectives set by the Board as well as the financial, programmatic, and administrative management of the corporation. The Executive Director will:

Manage the resources of the organization, ensuring that the short- and long-term working capital and financial management needs are adequately addressed

Work with the board grants and fundraising committees to source, apply for and implement grant funds, manage major fundraising initiatives, and enhance donor relations

Collaborate with the Executive Director-Field Operations to refine Lotus Outreach’s existing and emerging program areas, and manage relationships with partner organizations

Oversee the creation and management of initiatives and programs to pursue the organization’s mission and ensure implementation of goals and objectives as well as compliance with policy, reporting and regulatory requirements.



Desired Qualifications and skills:

Bachelor’s Degree

Established network within the nonprofit funding community, with demonstrable success in cultivating and maintaining relationships with foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individuals

A minimum of 3 years experience in senior level management, including developing and working with a board of directors and experience growing an organization or program

Familiarity with web-based technologies and marketing Knowledge of grantmaking and the development field with proven ability to obtain funding from private, foundation, corporate and government sources

Experience with performance management, concepts and tools and understanding of program evaluation

Commitment to and demonstrable collaboration skills

Excellent time-management and organizational skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Aptitude in developing and managing virtual teams

Strong work ethic and capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
