Chinese Venture Capital Internet Research

We are a market research firm seeking a contractor who can perform research on both Chinese language and English Internet content. The research is entirely from public sources and involves identifying both US-based and China-based technology companies which have Chinese founders or venture capital investors or are pursuing market opportunities or corporate alliances in China.

The following skills are required:

-- Ability to review company Web pages, on-line press releases and other Web content

-- Must have excellent reading knowledge of English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin)

-- Ability to make simple telephone inquiries to obtain information or references

The following are helpful but not required:

-- Experience with finance, venture capital or entrepreneurship

-- Computer science, engineering and/or biology or other technical educational background or experience

-- Research experience

-- B.A or B.S. degree

Please note that no technical experience or prior research experience is required. The primary skill is the ability to efficiently find information on the Internet, with phone calls where necessary.
