Graphic Artist For Web Applications

We're an internet newspaper.

We're are looking for a very special, web-based, graphic artist for a long-term relationship. (Web Design skills a plus, but not required for this position)

Think back to the days of The Dick and Jane First Grade Readers. You know, Dick, Jane, Spot, Puff, and Sally. Here's a link for some example pics: look mid-way down the page for a bunch of examples.

Can you quickly create web-based art work similar to this? It does not have to be exact. We're looking for that kind of old-times feel to the artwork. Do you have the web skills to compact the artwork into a small banwidth? Can you make your artwork scalable to fit various layouts? Can you work fast, maybe 2-3 a day? Can you start yesterday?

Start at home, by the project. New projects are constant and on-going. If your work is really good, we may make you another offer to join the in-house team.

We'd love to see your resume and some examples of your work. A short resume is best, but please list your skills as they relate to web-based work, and the software you prefer using. If your invited to join the in-house we'll be pleased to make sure you have the software environment you prefer working in.

Wanna Try Out and Make $100?

Impress us!(optional); create an example based on this short description: A corner newspaper boy in the genre of the 1950s, (Maybe a bit Dennis the Menency)about age 8 or 9, wearing a ball cap, striped shirt, and blue jeans, tennis shoes. He's hawking newspapers and shouting out. It has to be web-ready, since we may like it and want to use it. If we use your work on-line we'll pay you $100. Otherwise, we will not use any artwork we don't pay for. If your artwork is selected for use, the artwork will become the copyrighted property of the company.

There are no geographic restrictions of in-home artists. However, in-house artists must be able to live in the Denver Metro Area.
