Tired or Inspired
How could the first month of the New Year be gone already? How are you doing on those infamous “New Year’s Resolutions”? Are you feeling TIRED or INSPIRED as you consider your options for WAH (work at home) opportunities or other virtual employment possibilities in 2009? Political persuasions aside, do you feel there is hope for acquiring your WAH job in the present economy? Apparently, many employers believe there is hope and a future in virtual telecommuting arrangements, as demonstrated by the steady increase in the amount and quality of WAH jobs. Even though the typical scams are still out there, and require eternal vigilance on the part of serious job seekers, many well known and established professional companies and individuals are taking on virtual employees. Some WAH jobs stipulate a combination of virtual work and in-person meetings (meaning you must live in the local vicinity), while other WAH jobs are totally home-based. If you have felt stifled in your efforts to pursue the right WAH job for you, sometimes the most helpful remedy for overcoming that tired feeling is to do something. Take one small step towards accomplishing your goal, whether that is making a list of potential jobs that pique your interest, updating your resume, or seeking out WAH forums or blogs where you can interact with other people with the same interests and concerns. Some of these folks may already have experience with virtual jobs, and have valuable advice to offer. Others may be like you, just starting out on their WAH journeys, with the same questions and need for information and WAH job leads. “To breathe life into,” is the root word of inspiration. Is this the way you feel at times? If you could just breathe new life into a situation, you would find the strength necessary to accomplish your goals. The trick is to discover your source of inspiration or motivation, and then stick to it. Get motivated to take the next step on your WAH journey.
