When we think of virtual jobs, we picture work at home parents and professionals tired of the grinding daily commute. But virtual jobs come in all sizes and shapes and types and so do the people who work at virtual jobs. That's one of the reasons that virtual jobs are so attractive to so many. Let's look at the long list of those who might want to seek out a virtual job.
Parents - Of course, we all know that parents are looking for ways to spend more quality time with their children and dumping the daily commute is one good way to do that. Staying at home to work via computer, Internet, phone, fax and email offers employers and employees alike a way to strengthen families.
Retirees - Second Lifers are prime candidates for virtual jobs. They're out of the work force, but have vast skills that can translate easily to a virtual job, either part-time or full-time. With basic to advanced computer and email skills, a retiree offers a lot to the virtual job market.
Teens - Yes, teens. They have the computer savvy, and in the summer they may be looking to earn some extra money while getting job experience or trying different work types on before deciding what they want to do upon High School graduation.
Sick of the Commuters - Driving back and forth to work every day can be grueling. Traffic is terrible, and the commute takes valuable time that a person could be with family, exercising, reading a book, or getting a jump on the workday. Besides, it's hard on your car, not to mention the environment.

Disabled - Disabled folks are wonderful candidates for virtual jobs if their disability keeps them from getting out of the house a lot. With all the technology and training available, a handicapper could be a great candidate for a work at home job.
People Who Like Lots of Variety - For people who are always looking for a change, a couple part-time virtual positions would be ideal.
