Virtual Vocations is pleased to announce the release of their Employer Job Portal, a free employer recruiting system that provides companies with access to 900,000+ job candidates when hiring remote workers or contractors. Candidates are mainly U.S. based jobseekers who are mid-level professionals in their fields.
The Employer Job Portal gives telecommute-friendly companies streamlined, secure permissions to post their telecommuting job openings for free as well as receive applications from Virtual Vocations’ member list of high quality job candidates—82.3% of whom have received a post-secondary diploma or degree and 56.4% of whom have at least five years of telecommuting experience.

The new Employer Job Portal features an easy, hassle-free job posting dashboard for HR departments to find and contact potential hires for their telecommuting and remote positions. Virtual Vocations offers employers excellent exposure for their company and promotes open positions to jobseekers via a range of channels.
When employers post their open telecommute jobs in the Virtual Vocations database, positions are distributed through targeted email alerts to jobseekers, featured in a weekly content post that is emailed to thousands of remote candidates, and shared across all of the Virtual Vocations social media accounts.
In addition to the wide job posting distribution, employers will also receive a company profile page in our Telecommute Companies Database, currently housing over 4,000 telecommute-friendly employer profiles written and researched by Virtual Vocations’ staff. Each employer profile features links to the company’s website and social media accounts, an RSS feed of the company’s latest news, and a listing of all open remote jobs from that company available to apply to in the Virtual Vocations database.
All employers who register for the new Employer Job Portal will undergo the same screening and reviewing process that Virtual Vocations has utilized over the past 10 years of providing services, including human-screened telecommuting jobs, to jobseekers.
All positions submitted through employer accounts will be reviewed and approved or rejected according to Virtual Vocations’ internal job screening process guidelines, ensuring that the Virtual Vocations job board continues to maintain the same level of quality for our jobseekers.
Employers hiring remote workers must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Maintain an established, online business presence
- Be free from consumer and employee complaints of legitimacy
- Provide verifiable contact name and information
- Submit open jobs that allow a minimum of 20% telecommute or remote work
- *Submit open jobs that adhere to our internal job quality guidelines (e.g. standard pay rate for U.S. based jobseekers, non-adult industry related, not commission-only)
Employers can expect an exceptional experience when utilizing the new Employer Portal system for hiring remote workers, thanks to our dedicated Employer Relations Manager who works closely with the company representative to ensure the job screening and posting process is completed quickly and professionally.
Easy account creation and management.
Employers can register for an account in less than 30 seconds by providing general company information as well as contact and website information. Once registered, jobs can be submitted immediately for review and approval by Virtual Vocations. The review process for submitted jobs can take up to 1 business day, but usually just a couple of hours, provided the job openings pass our eligibility criteria.
Management of jobs is intuitive within the dashboard, allowing employers to delete jobs, refresh them them as needed, view job posting stats, and review candidate contact information for jobseekers who have applied to the vacancy via Virtual Vocations.
Job distribution and exposure.
Accepted telecommute jobs are distributed to more than a million remote jobseekers via email alerts and publication to our Telecommute Jobs Database. Positions are also shared weekly across Virtual Vocations’ social media platforms and through an employer partner spotlight post on our company blog, which garners thousands of views from jobseekers.
Custom employer profile page.
All accepted employer accounts will receive a custom Company Profile page, created and written by one of Virtual Vocations’ trained Company Profiles Specialists. This page is included in our Telecommute Companies Database and is a free benefit for employers who post their remote jobs with us.
The profile features information about the company, including their headquarters location and latest company news, the company’s industry, and telecommuting vacancies available with the employer. All company pages are accessible to jobseekers and provide a great opportunity for a quality backlink and branding for our employer partners.
