3D Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

To elevate the engineering team's capabilities, the full-time 3D Mechanical Designer will create and refine detailed drawings, conduct site walkdowns, and collaborate with engineers while utilizing advanced tools like REVIT and AutoCAD, with opportunities for remote work available for senior-level candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, including layout, detail drawings, and piping isometrics
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to size and design piping, pumps, and HVAC systems, ensuring design concept interpretation
• Perform internal reviews and clash detection of designs using NAVISWORK or REVIT, and conduct field walkdowns at client sites

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of design engineering experience, or an Associate's Degree with 6 years of experience, or 10 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in 2D and 3D design software, specifically AutoCAD and REVIT; knowledge of NAVISWORKS, Inventor, Creo, and Bluebeam is recommended
• Working knowledge of engineering techniques, principles, standards, and concepts relevant to the assigned engineering discipline
• Ability to travel 10-15% of the time based on project and client needs
