Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support the billing process, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will review unpaid invoices, contact carriers regarding claims, and maintain accuracy in the ETM system while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review ETM worklist to identify potential problem areas with unpaid invoices
• Contact appropriate carriers to inquire about unpaid claims via websites and phone calls
• Report consistent errors in AR trends that affect claims processing to the supervisor

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two years of medical billing experience preferred, focusing on research and claim denials
• Demonstrated knowledge of physician billing and healthcare reimbursement, particularly Medicare and Medicaid
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills
