Job Summary
Providing timely and accurate data analysis, the full-time Actuarial Analyst I will develop recommendations, calculate profitability reports, and perform regular assessments to enhance efficiency and affordability in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop actionable recommendations and perform regular and ad-hoc analyses to identify opportunities for improvement
- Calculate profitability reports and prepare monthly calculations of the company's IBNR reserves
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address key organizational issues and improve operating results
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, or a related field
- Strong database experience, preferably with SAS or Access
- Active pursuit of an actuarial designation (ASA) and at least one exam passed under the Society of Actuaries Exam Syllabus
- Preferred experience in managed care or healthcare
- Basic knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, or other data manipulation software
