Actuarial Analyst I

Job Summary

Providing timely and accurate data analysis, the full-time Actuarial Analyst I will develop recommendations, calculate profitability reports, and perform regular assessments to enhance efficiency and affordability in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop actionable recommendations and perform regular and ad-hoc analyses to identify opportunities for improvement
• Calculate profitability reports and prepare monthly calculations of the company's IBNR reserves
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address key organizational issues and improve operating results

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, or a related field
• Strong database experience, preferably with SAS or Access
• Active pursuit of an actuarial designation (ASA) and at least one exam passed under the Society of Actuaries Exam Syllabus
• Preferred experience in managed care or healthcare
• Basic knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, or other data manipulation software
