Acute Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Acute Patient Access Services Representative to assist patients with the administrative aspects of gaining access to medical treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit inpatient/observation authorizations and run estimates for patient stays based on CPT and diagnosis codes
• Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility, and obtain necessary authorizations
• Discuss financial liability with patients and assist with payment plans and financial assistance applications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• One or more years of experience in customer service or patient financial services
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong knowledge of common office software and typing skills
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for specific facilities
